Reiki is a Japanese therapy for stress reduction and relaxation that also promotes healing designed to support our physical, emotional, mental and spiritual being.
It is based on the idea that an unseen 'life force energy' (it can be called Qi or prana in Eastern traditions) flows through us and keeps us alive. When our life force energy lowers, we are more prone to a state of disease or disharmony.
Reiki healing therapy increases and rebalances this life force energy. It may bring a deep sense of peace, rest, relaxation and rejuvenation. It is a very pure and energising way to restore yourself to a healthy state and release any harmful stress in your life.
It is not meant to replace any medical treatment.
You will be asked to either lie down or sit on a chair fully dressed and the practitioner may place its hands lightly on your shoulders.
Sessions last either 30 or 60 minutes, as you choose and can also be conducted remotely on skype or simply on a pre-agreed day and time.
